Planning 3rd missionary trip to Africa ASAP in 2012. On our first 2 trips to Africa, covering 6 countries in 5 years and 4 months we have seen northern, western, eastern, and southern Africa and have learned quite a lot about Africa, the regions, the people, the culture, and the problems. Our power point presentation, "Journey Into Africa" goes into more detail of what we saw and learned. But we did not go just to "see and learn". We went to reach out to the poor and needy with God's LOVE! We returned to help create AWARENESS, since we realized that the real story of Africa is not being adequately told, and to take help back to the suffering in Africa whom we now call OUR FRIENDS, BROTHERS, AND SISTERS!
I am very anxious to return, even more so since the Lord told me it was necessary to do so URGENTLY! Subsequently, I found out that there is a major problem in the Horn of Africa! For instance, just in the month of July last year in Ethiopia, FOOD PRICES WENT UP 47.4% !! This must be phenomenally difficult on the poor who already were struggling on a meager diet.
Thus, would welcome people sharing and spreading this information as widely as possible in the hope of being able to travel ASAP - at least for a short trip - to take that with which to bless the people. They must see that America has not forgotten them, and that there are people who care! We are taking pledges and raising funds therefore for this trip, and others are most welcome to also make this trip so that they can see first hand. No amount is too small, and donations/pledges can come in many forms - one time, monthly, etc. It is just not what one person can do, but what we as a collective group can do. The more we share with others, the more people can do, and the more we can do FOR GOD'S GLORY!!!
